Default OT: Going to LA this weekend

Second try on this:

Will be staying in Burbank of all places thurs, fri, sat.
Have a car, is anybody taking their boat out on friday afternoon and willing to give me a ride? Willing to buy some beer/wine/refreshments/?

How far is Santa Monica from Burbank?

You picked a bad weekend!

NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Bakersfield (I'll be there Fri & Sat).

NASCAR race in Fontana, California 500 (I'll be there Sun).

Big Harley run in Laughlin (I'm skippping it this year).

Forementioned poker run in Havasu.

Any other time would have been great. I'd love to have an experienced boater along for a ride!

Santa Monica is about 30 - 45 minutes with no traffic: Hollywood way sout to 101 west to 405 south to 10 west or SM Blvd.

Marina Del ray is just down the road. Might enjoy that more.

Default Thanks Guys.

Have fun at the Poker Run/Races Etc.

Oh, well maybe I can bum a boat ride by trolling along the dock with some liquid refreshments dangling.

Marina Del Rey- gothcha

I'll bring my OSO shirt and Cig. windbreaker.

No wonder the airline tickets cost so much. All those big 3 execs want to see the Winston Cup races.

HMMM. maybe I could skip the meetings and end up at Havasu, naah wifey will find out for sure.

Havasu is only about a five hour drive, and would be worth it IMHO if you want to see some nice hardware.
