Changing water pump on my Yukon
 

Looks pretty simple, however you know how that goes sometimes, Four bolts and its off? Or is there something I'm missing. Seems like most of my time will be spent getting to the darn thing!

What year, what motor?

1998 5.7 4WHL DRIVE

Easy, as long as its the 5.7 and not the 5.3 its like all the old ones. Shouldn't take but a few minutes. Let me guess, leaking at the weep hole.

its an easy install.....just did mine for peace of mind at 103K miles...
loosen the waterpump pulley bolts with the belt tention still on to make thing easier...and remove the top half of the fan shroud.....rest is a breeze :D

Lucky Chevy guys.....The one on our Thunderbird 5.0 took forever, like a week....took the whole front end of the car apart.

Well, isn't that enough to prove to your dad you can build a motor for the boat?!:D

As we say in the biz..........gravy, loosen the fan nuts 1st, then the belt. Easy job!!;)

Why not just ditch the pump and use a cross over? You can install a sea pump, just have a few hundred gallons of water in the back.:D
