Launching Problems for Havasu Poker Run

We just got off the phone with the Lake Havasu Marina and they said the lake is down 2' and they were not allowing boats over 36' to launch. This is the main ramp used for the poker run!!!

I called Windsor and they said they will no longer allow trailer and vehicle length to exceed 55'. This could be a major problem for those planning on going to the poker run this weekend!!:(

that sucks.. so how is the water level at LOTO:D

I skipped a trip 2 weeks ago because of the 4' low water. I talked with other friends that went and 2 boats ripped off outdrives on the North end of the lake toward the River. 1' makes a huge difference on Havasu.

Inquire about launching down south a bit (deeper) if your dead set on going.

Welcome to hell/drought we had last year.

Damn near could walk across Lake Anna last year.
Now docks are underwater.

I hope someone with deep pockets and phone numbers can convince them to keep the level up at the damn.

The last time this happened it was because of a problem with the damn. I think we have actually had some decent rain fall this year.

I would say the LOTO water lever is up about 2 1/2 feet from a month ago. Pleanty of water under my dock anyway :D

NO WORRIES MATES!

I am reporting to you live from the beautiful blue waters of Lake Havasu and the good news is - as of this moment - the water level is at mid-summer high level.

So get off your butts and get up here! Just saw 36Skatter's boat parked at the Bridge Resort slips.

I checked the water level at Coloradoriverinfo and it is the same as last year, which was not a problem. I do know that it was low last weekend but looks to be normal now. I hope that it is O.K or there will be a lot of p'd off Poker Runner's this weekend, including myself.:(

It appears that a lot of the rules around Havasu have been changing the last couple of years and now they may be going after the larger boats.

I know I would not want to have to pull my boat out of the water on a long weekend every night this year. It used to bad enough, but now that you can not leave your boat in the canal overnight, things will be a lot worse. I hope this is not the beginning of the end.

I hate to think that the city is behind all of the new regulations, but, in the last five years things have really changed, some for the good but a lot that has reduced the fun factor and convenience.
