Default Everglades Marina Closing-Marine Flea Market

Alas, after more than thirty years as one of South Florida's premier performance boating marinas, Everglades Marina is officially closing on May 4th, 2003.

Florida Powerboat Club will oversee the final sale of all marina equipment, boating merchandise, and office related fixtures commencing Tues. April 22 at 12 noon.

Call Everglades at 954-763-3030 or visit www.flpowerboat.com.

Stu Jones.

There goes another shrine of Powerboat history. We need more condos!
Actually it hasn't been the same since the Martins left the building. During their ownership, this was Fort Lauderdale's equivalent to NE 188th st in NMB.

Ralph Martin and Norval Stahly were 50/50 owners of Everglades Marina. Ralph managed the marina while Norval was basically just boating when he came into town.

I'm sure the story they told you was a bit biased.
I was there from when they tore down the original building and built the new one, till the day Ralph walked away....
