Can't Sell a Boat, so what to do?
I tried last year and I've tried again this year to sell my boat. My Thoroughbred with over $10g's in improvements can't even get a single serious inquiry. Doing a price search via TraderOnline (the ad has recently expired) and it was the lowest priced 26' T'bred/Velocity advertised.
I've gotten so burned out on the local hi-perf boating scene (oh wait, let me rephrase), the local get drunk and anchor out at the cove scene and really can't see spending much time on the lake this season.
So what do I do? Price it to loose not only my ass but other parts as well? Store it and wait for the economy to rebound a bit? Part it out and use the hull as a decorative planter?
Suggestions? Opinions?

I tried to sell my Fountain last year, had a ton of inquiries but no one would bit. Took it to a broker/dealer at LOTO and they sold it in a week for....get this...$7K more than I asked for it.
Some people would rather buy from a dealer than individual. Even if it costs them more....go figure

Broker/Dealer is the way to go. I have bought and sold 4 boats over the last 10 years and learned the hard way to use a broker. I think buyers are more willing to go through the broker because they think there is less chance they will get ripped off.

Broker
I'd have to agree...Proroc Marine in Brick NJ sold my 22 Velocity in a matter of weeks...
Consequently, we bought the 32 Velocity through Billy Frenz' Brokerage....
JJ..wish I was in the market still...that 26 of yours is Bad Azz!!
Good Luck...
