This is a top secret picture....this is the first new 42'....not sure if you can tell but the first step is moved forward quite a bit....they are hoping to get it finished to take up to Lake Michigan for a poker run out of Chicago (not sure which one). The bottom line was that this boat will do 125+ with twin Sterlings or it will not be sent out from the factory!!!!! YOWSER!!!!!

are they planning to drop that 42 from an airplane to make it run 125 mph????

Adam,
That's just what the guy told me that gave the tour. I would assume though with twin Sterling motors that they will get well into the 100's. In case you've never heard of a Sterling motor...they can build motors in excess of 1300 horsepower per motor....so with twin that would be 2600 horsepower. Not sure what speed that would get but sure would be fun to play with that kind of horsepower (and money).

I saw the strip poker boat up close when I was out there in March. Was the "stealth" boat there? That was a really awsome paint job.

I don't agree with this. I have been through the Thunderbird/Formula plant and their plant is very neat and orderly all around. But, they do have the space and take great pains to keep it looking very nice. Maybe Cig's new place will let them organize a bit better and let them clean it up a bit..

Maybe they are tight for space but how much space do you need to pick the crap up off the floor and throw it in the garbage!
There is no excuse for a shop to look that way.
