The yellow one is Ricky Hill who raced in the UK series - I think our boats are a little slower with smaller engines in than the US ones.

Ricky also won the Class III European championships (with Sarah Donahue who has also raced in the states) in a B24 which is the outboard version of that boat.

Thanks candyman, I can't wait to see the video. It was awesome running back with you from the last stop. Thanks for not leaving me behind. If it wasn't for you I would have never found the marina. I'm not used to those big lake runs. :drink:

CigDaze, That was Johnny Prevost in the Circus boat and I believe Hanauher was driving for Miller then right? That is an all time classic. A friend of mine was a fabricator for Prevost at the time. Johnny goes way back in boat racing. He actually did some 266" hydro racing with my Dad in the 50's.

The drivers going over were John Prevost in the Circus Circus (pink boat) and Ron Snyder in the Allison powered Miss Madison (blue and white hull). The boat not blowing over was the O'Boy O Berto driven by George Woods who ultimately won that race.

Well, of all the people on this board you would know the answer to that better than any, Steve! :D Thanks for the info. I couldn't remember who the other boat was but it looked like the old Miller boat in the picture. What are the odds of not only having a double blow-over but catching it on film. Classic.

I don't know but I'd bet he sank after that. You have to keep your speed up to do that, and I'd think coming down from that air he'd lose some speed and sink.
