That would be a 5-6 foot swell in the big blue Pacific baby!! :drink: It was one of those where you air it out come down just perfect down the back side of another and launch right right off the next like a ramp.

I think that Miura was the most beautiful and best CUV 38' ever build.
It was World Champion Open class in 1984

I think it was a straight bottom.....from just a long wave sea.
It was Franco Statua's way of racing.
I remember when Franco said me a lot of time that he wanted him boat trimmed to take off parallel to the suface. Ever.

the pic i posted was from florida powerboat website the real pic is to large to post, and i do not know how to resize it. we were coming back into to cut running around 70 with the helicopter filming us when a big cruiser crossed our path, i said to Don the owner "do you see that" and he nailed it. the real pic is much clearer and what is unique about it is you cannot see were we left the water.

what's funny about it is that we were talking while we were in the air and could here each other. Don said later that night at the party. "you know you got some big air when you can hold a conversatio while flying"
