I use to own a Vector with a 175 Merc on the back of it. THis was the boat before I bought my Velocity. These boats are one of a kind with how they ride drive and look. With that motor on a manual jackplate my would run in the mid 90s with ease. These boats were very popular in Maryland where I am from so i grew up around them. They are NOT rough water boats at all in fact the only time I ever took mine out was in the evening or in the morning on my way to work. The other cathch is that you need a lot of seat time to learn how to drive them please just dont jump right in a go. A friend of mine did that and blew it over. Velocity Mike, you are absolutely right about how the run. When I lived in Houston, I would boat on Lake Houston, and the launch I used on river would always be like glass. There were 2 there all the time. Engine cowlings painted to match the boats, running 235 Johnrudes, leg cut out for exhaust.

As an impressionable youth, I loved the names; "Prop Walker and Gotta-Go."

had one... 86' 20ft with a 200 black max that was boosted a few horses. close to 85+ mph.

YEAH! That's the look! That almost looks like one of those small 13' Allisons I used to watch race in Texas. They ran those 3 Cylinder 70 from OMC, and would run in the high 60s. I think the record for that class back in 1980 was 71 mph.
