Bravo value$
I borrowed a newer generation Bravo drive while my 1988 Bravo drive was having a new skeg put on. I gained a few more mph! So now, I want to keep it on there.
Does anyone have an idea what the difference in dollar value is between the 1988 Bravo one drive and the newer generation Bravo? I am not sure of the year. By looking at it my guess would be about a 1995. It’s definitely more streamline! :) The 1988 Bravo has a nose cone, but it needs a little cleaning up. Although the newer drive needs the gimbals redone and needs less cleaning up. I would like to make the guy a reasonable offer. Any thoughts? |
The boat it’s on is a '88 Baja 240 with a 454 Mag,

Maybe the nose cone on the older drive is slowing you down. A nose cone is not doing you any good until you're running 80+.

that is a good point (no pun intended). i gained almost 4 MPH 60 to 64.
Do you think just the nose cone could account for that? |
