Cool If you had a choice- Ford Platinum or Silverado?

If you had a choice of two very, very "cherry" trucks....
a 2001 Ford F250 Platinum Edition 4x4 Crewcab 7.3 diesel or a
2002 Chevy 2500 Silverado 4x4 crewcab duramax diesel, approximately the same mileage.......
both all leather and all the bells & whistles but the Ford is $7000.00 less ..... which way would you go???? The load will be a 312 Fastech w/triple axle trailer, both will do it... so which is your choice???????????

The Chevy does have a few creature comforts the Ford doesn't but the Powerstroke is a proven power plant.... just add another trans cooler to it, add a chip & good to go..... stick the $7000 in the bank!

Chalk up another vote for Ford. My Excursion has been much better to me than my Yukon was.

I have a 99 F 250 Super Duty with a 7.3 powerstroke. I am not very impressed. I have only had it since Feb, and I am already looking to get a Chevy 3/4 ton. The Chevy has more options, is quieter and has a better fit and finish. Just my .02.
