It took me three times to get it right, but I struck the jackpot.

Today is Tommie and my 14th wedding aniversary.

Those that have had the pleasure to meet her, know that she has become a boat freak!!

The 36 was her idea, she picked out everything and is the best first mate you can have.

I sent her a dozen roses yesterday at work and we both took the day off to spend it together. Slept in this morning, went to our favorite Sushi resturant for lunch and then to buy her the present she had been wanting for the boat.

A new 13 Inch Sharpe LCD flat screen TV and a Blaupunkt DVD player.

Funny, but a tornado came through our town the day we were married in 1989. Several friends did not make the wedding because of damage to their homes. But we did it anyway and I would marry her again.

I hear ya bud, its been 18 years for me on the 11th of this month, whew!!!!, thanks for reminding me:o we dont exchange gifts or flowers for birthdays or anniversaries, we just save our money so we can go on as many poker runs as possible.:D

Shoot, I bought my Baja in 90 and I am still in love! I think I have been married for 17 years or something like that. I would have to ask her but I don't dare. All of our records and pictures etc. burned up several years ago so I have an excuse.

Just had 12 recently. May not have made it to that if I hadn't knocked her up last year. We were literally to the point of meeting with attorneys then one night, well you can imagine. I decided it's cheaper to keep'er. Things seem to be going well but I always do crap that pisses her off so we'll see what happens. One things for sure, if I cann't hang on to this one with all the crap I dish out I will never get married again.

It's great to see that people really do stay married after several years... maybe it's L.A., but I know few who make it past a year or two. How sad, huh?!

Agreed. Dating these days does suck. Why, because you can't trust anyone. My parents have 35 years under their belt. Maybe I have too high of expectations. There are too many superficial "gold diggers" in the world today. I hope I can find someone that will be there if someday I lost it all.
