Question Surfing boattraderonline - what are they thinking?

I was re-reading cigracer28/38's thread about his 28ss this morning (damn, what a boat!) and decided to do a little surfing on Boat Trader online. Sometimes, I think reading the ads on boattrader is the web equivalent of watching the boat ramp olympics - lots of things that make you say "What were they thinking?"

Here's a 28 that "will do 80 mph" on 450 hp small blocks. Apparently there were no GPS speedos in 1973

And here's another '73 that's going for $70K! Admittedly, it looks to be a beautiful boat, but come on - $70K for a 30 year old 28 foot boat? I'm guessing he'll have that one for a while...

Anyone else run across some good ads out there?

I bet it could do 80 mph - you just have to have one of those resent Pierce City, MO tail winds!
