I would love to join you guys but I still can't walk until the first of June. Franken foot, as my daughter calls it is doing much better now. I am looking forward to the June run. See you then.

What happened to your foot, is it broken

I had a severe dislocation of the lower ankle joint. Four surgeries to put it back together.

last summer I broke my foot, it took 6 months to heal I had
to wear an electronic bone stimulator, 10 hours a day for 3 months, at least I could gimp around though, best wishes

The June run will be my personal dead line recovered or not. I will be bringing up the back of the pack regardless so pushing it is not a question.

I'm still here! Sorry to here you’re still having problems. This is my busiest time of the year. I've been pushing plastic toilets filled with Fun Dip aka Lick-m-aid this year. The toilets come with two Plunger lollipops. What other industry could you have this much fun. Tomorrow I get to go to the National candy show at McCormick Place to find the next weird item to sell.

I think I'm going to shelf the Swedish Fish on the boat and opt for Gummy Doughnuts with sprinkles this year. I need to keep the law enforcement types happy. :D

I plan on putting in early that morning and running around for awhile. I thought we would head back to Northpoint and see if there is a group from there that would like to run down together to Waukegan. Maybe 1:15 -1:30pm.

Let me put this out now then,
Will anyone that wants to run together from Northpoint down to Waukegan please post here. We can plan on gathering at the long dock by the ramp. The same as we did last year for the run to Racine. Maybe meet about 1:15 and by the time we get out of there it will be 1:30pm. How does that sound....

I was actually think ing on running down to Diversy and than comming back up with the group, But it depends on the weather. Now that I know what you are planning I will take that into consideration when I see Sunday's weather.

hope you guys had a good run today.... my new boat is due in anytime...and i'm planning on joining cops when i get it. what kind of water was out there i've never ran in the great lakes.. is the water big or not ?

We made a run to Diversey but it didn't take me long to decide that I wasn't going all the way up to Waukegan. We went into the harbor and didn't see any boats on the pier so we left. I did see a big Baja on the way out. It was around 2:00. You and Steve?
Maybe we should try to monitor a designated radio channel.

Your welcome to come out any time. The weather was a little chilly but not too bad. It was worth the trip.

Quiet Storm - We ran from Northpoint to Waukegan. The weather was great around 11 or 12 PM. Sunny, less than 10 mph wind. It got cloudy around 2 or 3 and the wind picked up to about 15 mph. I was surprised to see that some of the die hards didn't come out, but I undestand that there was some considerable fog and worse conditions in the city.

Let's try again next Saturday. Any takers?

were you guys idleing around Navy Pier sunday afternoon in that big Baja??? if so I was standing on Navy Pier being very envious. I accompanied Tracy to a trade show on the Pier so while she was inside I wathed the few boats go by. Next time we come that way we'll bring the boat.

We talked about coming down for the fireworks show off of Navy Pier either on the 24th or 25th. not for sure but thinking about it.

BTW that Baja looks awsome from shore. :D
