Haverstraw Gathering
 

Looking to put together an OSO gathering at Haverstaw. The cove up there is a great place to hang for the day, plus a nice run for anyone from NY, NJ or LI Sound to get to.

Would anyone be interested? Any ideas on dates? I don't want it to conflict with any other events.

I would be, and I am sure Excavator, Hot Boat, Tantrum, Johnny Venomous, Chris 232, and others would be to.

Sounds good to me. We are out there most weekends if not down the shore.
Are you in that area or are you at the shore?
I have e-mails for most of the people in that area from last years NYC Poker Run raft up that got rained out.

He did not get it in this weekend but he might have last night. Ihave been trying him all morning to see if he needs anything.

He is in but not done. He is going to need all day Friday to finish it up. If I can get my meetings rapped up at the office Ill take off Friday and help him out. He's helped me a bunch so hopefully Ill be able to return the hand.
It gonna be a squeeze to make it to LG this weekend. I cant wait to kick back and have a drink at Log Bay ;-)

I just spoke to Paul. I offerred to come down and help but he thinks he is all set. I hope he can get it all together for the weekend. Call me later if you get the chance. I will be available till 4 then I have a meeting and then I'll be home.

Put in some fresh gas, started the motors and went for a ride. This is probably the latest I have ever gotten the boat running, not including the year I didn't even pull the cover. Water pumps are a little weak so I'll do the rebuild on them Friday morning, no time and I don't want to chance not getting it done for Thursday night. Also need to reseal the headers. The boat is a mess, I managed to clean the interior but she needs a little compound/ on the deck, even with the full cover (summer too).

Now Panther has my worried about the noise since my exhaust is nearly dry. I guess I just need to use the mufflers in the river from now on.

Since it looks like the party is canceled that weekend, I'm thinking about heading out to Fire Island on Friday morning and spending the weekend out there with the kids. Kinda wish I had something in the cabin now. Also heard one of the locals (ice cream fountain) was thinking about putting together a run for us. Not sure if that is going to happen, I'll get more details tonight.

We'll look for you guys Thursday night, although my kids may drive you nuts.

Don't know about Fire Island, it may be hard for all of us to leave on Friday.

I gonna try and push to get the boat out early tomorrow so we have a place to raft up, and maybe a little ride around the hook :D . Panther said he wasn't heading down the river until later. Take your cell with ya, call us when you heading down and raft-up with us. Who cares about the kids, they kids will bring the entertainment :D.

I told Panther if anyone needs dock space I have plenty behind the house. Easily put 4 boats there, two to the dock and two rafted. Although you will get the Jersey brown stain. Invite is open for every weekend.

Not sure what time we're going to head out, depends on who is riding with us. I'm working on the 35' Formula that's in Sea Bright on the lift tonight, then tomorrow I just need to replace a fuel fitting, Tantrum hooked me up with the fitting. If we go early the kids will probably swim for a while.

Panther has my cell number.

Had the same idea to about the swimming thing, just hope the weather holds out.
