Jon,

The port hole windows and resessed docking lights look like old Formula pieces. The deck however sure doesn't. Didn't Baja make a boat that looked like that way back when?

ScottB 05-15-2003 06:57 AM

Don't know, but it looks like an old Chris Craft Stinger or Scarab
that someone but a different deck on

Pete B 05-15-2003 08:14 AM

Check the serial number that may help!

Lake Front 05-15-2003 01:27 PM

I doubt that anyone would change out the deck. Could it be an early model Hustler (especially in your area)?

Strike 05-15-2003 02:09 PM

Looks Like A Wellcraft to me.

looks like a 31 scarab II, mid 80's vintage. great riding hull, just a little slow.

LapseofReason 05-15-2003 08:28 PM

I'm going with Wellcraft Nova Spyder

LapseofReason 05-15-2003 08:29 PM

85-90

Audiofn 05-15-2003 08:40 PM

ok litttle more info it is about 26-28 feet long and looks to have been rigged with small blocks. It looks to have had Alpha drives on it.

Jon

SPITFIRE 05-15-2003 10:39 PM

my guess is a scarab

riskybusiness 05-16-2003 08:42 AM

Sorry. Definitely NOT a Banana.

My guess was more along the lines of a Wellcraft product.

riskybusiness 05-16-2003 08:43 AM

Nor were Bananas built in Joisey.

Strike 05-16-2003 09:04 AM

This boat is a 32' 1982 Midnight Express. It has T-500 HP w/ Arneson drives and runs about 90 MPH. And yup it's for sale.
The owner was out of Wilson NY. He used to call a Toronto Club or Rest. And say "Have my lunch ready in tweenty minuites!"

Strike 05-16-2003 11:34 AM

Last. Sorry about the rain drops on the lens!

MitchStellin 05-16-2003 02:37 PM

Poor boat:( it is such a shame someone can just abandon a boat like that and let it sit outside and rot. At least cover the thing. If it is not saved soon it will be a pile of dirt.:D I bet you could pick this up for 5,000

puder 05-16-2003 02:43 PM

i was thignkign a scarab too. But the deck looks funny. It kidn of has a "bubble" to it make it look kind of like the old 32 hustler.

MJED 05-16-2003 03:16 PM

It looks like an 80's scarab II - (less the spot lamp on the bow).

Strike 05-17-2003 09:04 AM

cashbrain

Strike 05-19-2003 12:14 PM

Also, Wellcraft portals are very distinctive.

ken240 05-19-2003 12:39 PM

SHARKEY-IMAGES 05-31-2003 01:14 AM

Chris Craft

Jon,
It is definately a Chris Craft
I just so happen to spot one about 3 miles from where SKATERFEST is being held. So if you come to the event, there is another one you can checkout while you are here.

Nothing more than seeing the Chris Craft chrome emblem on the side of the wind screen as I drove by. It definately has the same deck as the one Jon posted.

ThirdBird 06-04-2003 10:49 AM

Yeah, I say Chris Craft also. The docking lights are throwing me for a loop though. Chris used to install them up higher on the hull like a Formula. Of course, anyone could have installed the lights.

Air Dog 06-09-2003 09:20 PM

It kind of looks like a old SEA RAY, or maybe a MACH I

JGB 06-09-2003 10:04 PM

excalibur, maybe?

Audiofn 06-09-2003 10:12 PM

I am still looking for the serial numbers that I wrote down on the damn thing!!!!! I am sure that would solve this one quick!!!
