Default Engine leasing

Was thinking on the way home last night (dangerous I know) about the Vortec HP3 leasing and was wondering what a lease costs and if it were available would it make sense for a low buck pleasure boater? Anyone know what the race leases run a year (and can say), and if they do "non-race" leases?

Just thinking of an affordable way into MORE POWER <LOL>

Greg, I think when we looked into it, it was around $11,500 for the season

The lease has a number of caveats...One of them being a limited number of hours allowed. I think it costs like $11000/season.

Kind of figured it would be too much $$ to make any sense. You could buy a new engine for that cost (from non-Merc and I guess non-GM sources at least)

Amoratize it over a year and you would have the payment on a sweet ride

The good thing about the lease, as a racer, is that relatively small fee is all you'll have to pay all year. All you do is change oil and plugs. They take care of the rest.
