Where are you building at?

In Brandon, MS. It is a new subdivision that is starting up called Cottonwoods.

My $.02 ---

Find a bigger house that has been on the market a while and hasn't sold due to "issues" like decorating etc.

Buy it and put your time into updating it.

I have done this successfully and ALWAYS made good $ on resale. Buying SMART is the key.

Building your own home is a big deal and time consuming. Time is your most precious resource and irreplaceable.

I can tell you that building a house is a big pain in the AZZ!.. Try doing it in another country! :eek:

Thank GOD I have a good person who is living on the island and overseeing/doing much of the work!

Yeah I tried getting Jeff, I need to PM him but I can't till I become an actual "paying" member haha, been kinda tight lately. I posted a message here for him to contact me but haven't heard anything, it's probably too far for him to travel anyway.


Geez building a house in another country....I bet that is a chore. I know it's a big pain, but we're really wanting to do it and get what we want. We'll see ......

It is going well, and bad all at the same time! haha... if that makes any sense!... It is getting to the point where it will speed up at this point. The outside is almost all done. and the interior work is about to start, sheetrocking, electrical final, etc..
If anyone wants to buy a vacation property, let me know. It is on Curacao, next to Aruba... You wanna talk about some nice weather!
