Mike A says goodbye to Offshore.......
 

On Friday May 16, 2003 Mike Allweiss assisted the privately owned and funded Turtle Hospital in Marathon Key in releasing the 100 pound Sea Turtle that was nicknamed "Offshore". The Turtle was escorted in the GMC/Offshoreonly Pace Boat back to its original home at the western side of the bridge when entering Bahia Honda where it was rescued in February of 2003.

The release of the turtle would be the kick-off of the Marathon Offshore Race which started May 17, 2003. Allweiss was assisted by The Turtle Hospital Staff as well as "Jen", the countries newest singer who will be releasing here first album in the immediate future.

Pictured below is Mike A petting Offshore as he says his goodbyes and releases the turtle back to its natural environment.

Ironically, the Sunday Race was yellow flagged while the racers waited for a Sea Turtle to cross the Race Course.
