Oh right Strike....I need ot be in NY like I need a hole in the head...although a trip around the Island might be nice....and a little Northern trip to Canada t see the "canadian ballet" would be okay too.....
Gearhead you're on the right track but not quite.....rememeber I got a whole quart out of her and it stopped all at once.....then I put two back in to track it and nothing came back out....Not good....any guesses.......you're gonna see how easy it was to overlook....trust me....still feel like a Moron..... BTW so far 6.5 quarts out and still have the filter and a slow drip.....so add in the extra 1 quart I put back in along with the first 1 quart that came out and what is in the filter I would have about 6.5 quarts in there draining out......funny how that is the same amount I put in when I changed it last.....DOH!!!! On and it looks okay water wise so far......none is good...fingers crossd though...... |
.........Was the drain hose outlet just
slightly lower than the the oil pan "full" level ?? Like, even with the "add" mark level ? |
Didn't open the valve all the way?
|
You guys are close but not really..........I think this is why I didn't even think about it too........the drain hose was kinked.....right under the oil pan .....felt like a tool when I actually looked at it....
Well all done and a new dipstick too......did I mention that I had to disembowel the oil filter to remove it..... :hothead: |
