The Playboy boat you have been seeing around SoCal and Havasu is not a Playboy. It is actually a '80s Cafe Racer with black Playboy graphics.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Bullsh*t. It is someone with no imagination.
There is also a 42 Tiger I believe running around Havasu that was factory painted.
I'm surprised that the factory will let them get away with that (or Playboy for that matter). I was told the if someone put Playboy graphics on their boat without Cig's permission, they could demand to have them removed. Some sort of copyright thing. That info came from Bud at Cigarette personally.
Send the pic to cigarette and see what they think.

Really though, it's not that big of a deal to me that someone paints an early model that way. A new one might be different though.

Oh yeah, nice looking boat dreamer!!!

Are you going to put the Playboy Cigarette back on the side? If so, let me know, I was thinking of buying another set of vinyl graphics and buffing the boat out this winter and replacing the graphics. They are slightly worn from docking.
Maybe we can get a deal on two sets!!

If you get them for 300 from Cig, let me know, I'll be all
over that one!1

What's up with the factory having to "authorize" the paint jobs, and here I thought it was my boat! My be the Playboy trademark, you suppose?

I was kidding about the factory authorized! Your right the issue is more of a use of a registered trademark.
