Ok, no takers. I was quoted 2.5 K to rent a jet for the day, or 1.5K for a cessna 310.

It looks like I am driving all night long. Time for my own plane!
Thanks anyway.

Which planes did you own and which did you like the most/least?

I'd like to have a cessna 182 on amphib floats or a lake amphib.

Try the guys at Greenwood Lake airport, we used to fly from there to a bay every weekend in a baron e55 and round trip fuel was like 250.00 don't know what they have on the field now that's fast but ask for Kevin or Chuck - p.s. Maxson airfield's identifier in A Bay is 89N good luck and hope it helps, weather looks OK here tomorrow

By any chance are you going up to look at a boat ? I was thinking of heading up there to look at a OSO member's 1996 32' Hustler for sale.

Thanks Becca:

Greenwood Lake airport does not have that E55 anymore. I thank you for the info though, and will likely stop by there for a visit one day.

Sorry Cap, been there and back already. Left northern NJ at midnight on Friday, thundered through the night in the trusty Ram Air Firebird, got to the Gan at 6:30 am. The wife and I split the driving duties after a full day at work, two hours at a crack. Still pretty tired the next day!

Funky planes Too Old, nice!

Hi Cap

The boat you were interested in is safe. I was looking at a place to park my float plane if and when I get it, in about five years I hope. Always thinking ahead. <gg>

Too Old:
Nice plane combination!
We did nearly the same thing, started with a Sundowner, upgraded to a Sierra, and when some idiot prop started his plane and chopped up the Sierra , Insurance paid a very fair amount, and we bought the Baron we still have today (B-55), I suppose the next logical step would be a King Air!!
Don't see it happening real soon though. An F-90-1 would be the hot ticket though, wouldn't it?
