survey cost ?
What does a boat survey cost ? 32 foot boat twin. Is it a legal bidding note, or just a BS paper

Survey's in this area are around $13.00 per foot....they are a good thing to get especially if your buying a boat, they check for such things as bad stringers, moisture in hull, transom condition, de-lamination.....they also check to see if all equip. is operable....they do put a value of what the boat is worth in their opinion....which is sometimes required by loan company's (banks) and insurance company's.......Fred

I think I paid $17 a foot in May of 2001. That was by Marine Forensics out of Annapolis.

CAP, Something in the works? Brother in law had a 31 ft Sonic done for $350.00 last year. ;)

Very real and very worthwhile, however some surveyor's are more proficient on sailing vessels than powerboats. So pick yours carefully by his/her experience.
I would charge 10.00 ft for conditional and appraisle, while a full added mechanical would push you to 15.00 per ft. The information you will obtain could save you ten's of thousands of your hard earned dollars. A good inspection is usually required for a used boat loan and insurance. :) |
The last quote I had was $12.00 a foot.

Bosco, how are ya? Haven't seen you around for a while!!:D

No matter what it costs, it is worth it.
I didn't do it once and it cost me, the second time, I did it and I am glad that I did. |
