Thanks to all of you who posted a reply. Now I have several options, as well as a link Baja Daze posted last week for a place in St Pete. I'm going to skip this weekend since I don't have the patience to deal with all the jerkoffs out there. But I will come down soon to play with you guys.

How about Tierra Verde Marina Resort? That's where I would stay. Very protected water, big pool, bar, close to the hot spots.
