I can't speak to the performance as mine is a single but you will not find better quality in a boat or a more helpfull manufacturer.

I love my 28, rides much nicer than my 27 Fountain did and Jo built it to my specs. Not that the Fountain was a bad boat by any means. The Pantera just was a step up in quality and ride.

I saw Tim's boat this weekend at the Marathon races. That thing is really nice. The finish was flawless just an overall awesome boat. Oh... and it hauls a$$.

Thumbs up

I have been looking hard at a Pantera 28 and a few other 28s built by a few other South Florida boat builders and all I can say it is one killer boat out in rough water.I had a chance to get out on a 28 powered with twin 496 recentley with Jo Nunez in real 6 footers and that 28 handled that water with ease.I did not even get a drop of water on me.Jo was running the boat at over 70 MPH on GPS in big water.I did not hear one rattle or see any flex in that boat.I have been out in a few other 28 - 32 footers and nothing has even come close to the handling and attention to detail like the Pantera. The rig was work was flawless underneath the dash and engine room.

In the bay we GPS the boat at 78 MPH with the a pair of 496-375 HP Mercs.Jo told me with the 425 HO GPS speeds are in the 82-84 MPH range.

All I can say is that I was very impressed and should be putting in my order in a couple of weeks.

Von Bongo your 28 Pantera is incredible.

I forgot to mention the pricing on the 28 Pantera was what I felt a more realistic price than the other 28s I have been looking at.Take a look at the standard parts that come with the boat.

I have a friend that owns a 28 up North and he told me the Nunez family has always treated him like family and he did not even purchase his 28 Pantera from them.He owns a 1996 28 powered with a single 700 HP and says he would not sell the boat for the world.Maybe a new 36 Survivor Pantera in the future.
