Did anyone call on that all white 46'? Seems like a good deal but I would assume it would need Triples to get it movin'.:D
|
The Beast was originally 'Satin Doll' and was built for my buddy Bill Schaefer from Baltimore. Mark M. and Don Aronow built it for Bill. As far as we know, it was the first 38 ever built. My first ever ride in an offshore boat was on Satin Doll in 1979. Now, I'm not saying Cigarettes are addictive, but I'm on my third. They should put a freaking attorney generals warning label on the side!

I would be interested in a copy of the article aswell,
on the Cougar and Apache. If you can scan it great, otherwise I can get you my address and mail it. What magazine is it in? Year of issue? Month? Thanks for any help Cougarman |
Originally posted by IDRPSTF I know a guy out here on the west coast looking to get out of a 46 Kevlar Couger. I believe it used to be a Toyota race boat. Full cabin and triple power. Nice clean boat, just cant find a buyer then got sold over the pond in about 93/4 complete with very old international tractor/trailer with a hiab (crane) on the tracter unit |

Could well be! although the graphics are very different.
I presume you mean the aeromarine spare prop mountings? dick's boat had them, so it could be the one. another giveaway would be signs of the original exhaust outlets (diesel motors) having been very badly filled in by the aleged glass worker!! although of course that might well have been put right now. I'll try and find some pics of it in it's original form, and post em. In fact, I'm a bit gobsmacked to see my name still appears to be on the transom, "engines by Jon Fuller"! |

Thanks for the info, I can't really say I have seen prop
mounts such as that. I also don't believe I would ever want them mounted on the out side of the boat eithere. Thanks again Cougarman |
