The damage to the Victory hull above looks as if no external taping was done to the hull/deck joint....could this be so??? or did the tape rip perfectly with little damage to even paint???

1) The "#6 Speedmaster" (nee Kiekhafer) IS 18+ years old.
2) It has only recieved one significant update (dry-sump), and that's only because Shifter did it first. (You devil...)
3) It's got way more moving parts (complexity, drag) than shaft drives.
4) There are a lot more of them on pleasure boats than there are on race boats...
...just observing.

ZD transmission is a semiautomatic with a computer controlled shift. Like F1 but no clutch. It is a true gear box not a clutch plate type transmission (BnM) We ran a 6 speed version with victoryteam in 99 but it was shelved due to politics.
I talked with Jan yesterday and he was pleased. The boat had some "soft spots" that they had repaired during the night. Thet lost a water hose on the 12 lap in third. They were 7-8 miles an hour slower on sunday. Tough getting back and pushing hard after that kind of thing. It looks like Saeed did not have that problem.
Pole position was cancelled due to Jotuns crash. Jan said they did a complete barrel roll and landed upright.
Andreas has run Trimax drives from the beginning. He will not run anything else. They never said you couldn't run #6's they just wanted a choice. There is still 1 #6 boat with our dry-sumps(DAMAS) Soon to be retired.
