Default Bird nests in exhaust pipes

We are starting to have a problem with birds building nests in the exhaust pipes. They built one in there over the winter and then again in the two weeks prior to Memorial Day. Does anyone make covers that go over the pipes that would prevent this from happening again? What damaged could result from this? BTW, we do not have any flappers. Thanks.

Rubber covers can be bought but I am not sure from where. I have seen them made from Sunbrella. The cheapest and easiest I have seen is sticking NERF footballs in the pipes. Seemed to work really well. Good luck.

I was thinking about having the guy who made our covers make some out of Sunbrella. I was hoping that someone already makes them and I could just buy them.

rubber ones from a plumbing supply. Used them for years. Just remember to take them off before you start it or it will be launched across the canal. Have lost several like this.

Jeff, can you give me more details on that? What exactly are these used for?

Jeff, our pipes are cut at a 45* angle. Will they still work? And you say that they are made of rubber? Do they fit tight enough to stay on without strapping them on somehow? Thanks.

The pipe ends have to be cut straight and not at an angle. You will need plan B, Nerf footballs.
