My flowscan doesn't work and tech support is terrible in my opinion. I have heard that many people have the same issues as they were originally in all batboats. I think they are way too expensive for such a finicky item that is very likely to not work at least in my boat.

I use a Twin-Flo scan on my cat and it is great...........it's been in 2 years and no problems. A little pricey, but worth it. I bought mine here. http://dbmarine.com/floscan/floscan.htm After doing a google search, they had the best price

Rick: remember the 33ft Seal
Rib Boat I did a few years ago
I got a flow Scan for twin
motors that has to be switched
from motor to motor they didn't like it and I changed
to both motors on one gauge.
Still have the Old unit
If you want I will send it to
you and see if you can use it.
The other one has worked for
about 6 years now.

I've had them on a few boats. Liked them.
Diesel apps are expensive cause you gotta measure the flow from the tank, measure the temp of the fuel from the tank, measure the fuel being bypassed back to the return, and the temp of the bypassed fuel. Then the head unit has to do the math to get it right.

Gas boats are a lot easier. Gas temp does not affect the expansion as badly and you don't need to measure a return flow.

New diesels have the fuel display built in, but the 671's wont.
