I might buy one . I need a spool gun for a little aluminum work and this sounds good for around $529 ....... Any body have one ? How are they ? It's cool . It is portable and can run off 2 car batteries if needed .

I sell them and have them in the showroom for $499
If they didnt work we wouldnt be selling them. Most of our customers run them off there gas drives but I have seen it demonstrated with 2 12volt car batteries (steel). If doing aluminum there is a modification that you will need to make to the gun. You need to make a jumper liner between the drive roll and the tip. For some reason they dont use one. If doing steel it is fine but aluminum will bind. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you want to demo it before you buy it come on over. AGL Welding Supply Clifton NJ |

I always wanted to know how these worked out
if you buy one let us know what you think |
The one I have is the Ready Welder II
Klaw; most of these things dont work. The Ready Welder does BUT you have to be realistic. A lot of times the sales liturature will reflect unrealistic conditions that wouldnt normally be met in a shop invironment. Boot; Im at my desk until 6 ; 973.478.5001x616 Chris |
Batteries are a good power source I welded with batteries and Stick way way back, in emergency's.

Steve 1, you didn't have a TV show called McGiver, did you? (haha)
I just remembered, he used a nickle, not a stick. Never mind. |
i've done small stuff with olod car batteries and jumper cables. Its messy and a major jerry rig, but in a pinch it does works.
