Default Hello from Chicago - that's not a lake!

Out here for the day to give a couple of talks at the Four Seasons. In between with a half hour to kill and found a free internet access

Got in late last night and it was dark, but this morning I looked out my window and damn - that's not a lake. Where I come from that's an ocean!

Looks scary to me

Oh well, back to work - I need to earn that rubber chicken lunch I had

Welcome to the shores of Lake Michigan. To bad the weather is crappy or I'm sure we could get you a ride.

I should have taken a few pics of Lake Huron last week when I was in Canada- it was not water for the faint-of-heart..........
Getting any ocean boater on the Great Lakes will change their mind about our version of 'lake boating'.

Hey UT,you wanna run a little eliminator out there? Seriously.the Great Lakes demand RESPECT. PERIOD. No matter what the ocean boaters say about us fresh water guys. 6 foot swells are nice compared to 6 foot breakers 10 feet apart. After running with cig1 and D man I can see why they say it gets bigger on the ocean but I don't think it gets any rougher.

We had 10' on the lake last Friday. Not that bad until you realize the waves are only 10' apart as well.
