Gateway is lower resolution than you'd want for HDTV. If you've got a cruiser with a good wall to hang a plasma, the Gateway would be the stuff.

I'm currently trying to find a raging deal on something flat in the 25 to 30 inch diagonal size.

I've found 19" LCD's for under a grand, 22 inchers for 2 grand.
I'm waiting for a 28 incher for 1700. I'll bite then.

Eric: Ya you can tell the difference. Most of my customers start out as not being TV buffs and just buy my best plasma because that is what I sell them and recommend. My 43" plasma is 13,000 bucks. However as soon as they see the picture they gather the whole family around and just stare in amazement at it. Then they go and look at their friends Pioneer or what ever and realize were their money went. There is definatly a difference it just depends on what you are willing to pay for it.

Mcollinstn: As far as daylight veiwable screens I have yet to see one that has a decent picture were the black levels are any good. Black levels are the most important thing when trying to properly set up your display.
