Selling my Truck

This has nothing to do with Todd N Tracy's truck but since it is a diesel truck pricing thread I figured I'd throw this in...
*******************************
A lady stopped by the lot Friday. She was coming to look at a truck her son had expressed interest in (he had come by the previous day). The son was 20, but apparently was getting some assistance from Mom (nothing wrong with that).
The son had looked at a 2001 Dodge HO Cummins truck we had on the lot. Extended cab 3/4 ton 4x4 SLT. Loaded. Manual. 82k miles. Leather/Infinity/CD Chrome wheels. We had it priced at $21,000. We thought it was a good number. We'd gotten calls on it from drivebys since it hadn't even hit the ads yet (We'd only had it back from detailing for 2 days).
The mom met with our salesgirl, took one look at the miles and said "I thought it had FIFTY-two thousand miles, not EIGHTY-two." You people are NUTS! I CAN NOT BEILIEVE you are asking 21 thousand for this truck.
About this time I pulled in and stepped out from a "lively" test ride in the 350Z we got on the lot (I have mixed feelings about the "Z").
Cindy said, Ma'm it's a diesel.
The lady went berserk. I ran over just to keep this lady from jumping on Cindy (which would have been cool cause Cindy looks kind of like a short version of the blond TASTES GREAT girl).
This lady was screaming about sales crap. And line of BS. She was waving her hands.
She then turned to me and screamed that we were crooks (I just drop by and test drive stuff - I'm no crook).
We sold the truck 2 hours later for $20,450 to another driveby. The son called the lot about the time the new owner was driving off in it. Greg (my partner) told the boy to make sure his Mom learned a little bit about truck products before he took her to anybody else's lot, and that she was not welcome back at this lot although he could come back without her anytime he wished.
The truck hit the Saturday CarShopper ads. Lots of calls on it.

Pretty sorry behavior from an UNEDUCATED car buyer, she obviously didn't have a clue. I can't believe she was upset, if she didn't like the price, just go somewhere else. And by the way that sounds like a pretty good price for a 2001 HO Cummins!

Trucks still have the strongest resale next to say a corvette. I looked at the Blue Book at the store the other day and even with the miles my truck still books at over 25k.
It's still waiting for a good home.
