Limit Noise Not Performance

Being a new advertiser to OSO I would like to introduce
Hydro Power Inc. to you.

We are the manufacturer of a new silencing system that silences the engine without reducing horsepower. This claim has been made by many manufacturers in the past, but our products speak for themselves. In the past year that this has been on the market we have caught the attention of Cigarette Racing team, Mercury Racing, Hustler, Sonic, Profile, and many others.

Because we are new with OSO we are offering a 10% discount on all of our products through the end of June 2003 for all OSO members.

!0% off what? Your web site does not have any pricing.

KiloKat 06-05-2003 07:48 AM

I agree with Padraig. Also, you never state how much db reduction you guarantee with your mufflers.

Hydro Power 06-05-2003 09:26 AM

We are in the process of getting our products loaded onto the web site. We carry transom mount silencers, clamp on silencers, internal and external flaps, hose, tips, and many other misc parts. I will give you 10% off any thing that we carry.

Thanks
Dan

looks like an exact copy of corsa's exhaust

From the outside they look similar. But on the inside Corsa's system uses a series of baffles to quite the noise. When you use that type of system you create a lot of back pressure. When you have back pressure it limits the size of the engine that you can silence and it kills horsepower. With our system you can look straight through the center and because we don't use baffles to quite the engine you don't loss any horsepower.

I am still waiting on the pricing. Is it a secret????

509 SC 06-05-2003 09:44 PM

Dan, I also am interested in the Db reduction number. How about some figures on any stock Mercruiser power. I have inquired about your product thru Livorsi but no one is being to helpful on facts. I'ld be interested, but I need more than salesmanship! Thanks Steve

Dan, were you at Harpos last jan? I think I remember sitting across from you. The exhaust seems to have some brains behind it, should be great for go-fast's and the 90db limit!!

509 SC & KiloCat

On a Merc 525 we have been seeing an average about 10db in drop. The db reduction has a lot to do with the type of boat and who is doing the testing. If you guys have a fax number I can send you some dyno and sound testing that we did.

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

Just tried to reach you (out to lunch)

My set up is 500 efi's with 4' straight dry exhaust. Is 10db the max I can hope for? Is this running or at idle.

these would just slide on?

Maximus

Hydro Power 06-06-2003 12:06 PM

Maximus

Are you running CMI exhaust? Depending on the boat, you might see a little more or a little less. Give me a call back I should be in the rest of the afternoon.

Got 5 blade data?

The size or pitch of the prop shouldn't make a difference.

Thanks
Dan

Good news back from Mike at Outerlimits. He ran my 5" Clamp-ons on a 1450hp engine. He told me that the engines made more noise than the exhaust. Plus he didn't have any speed loss.
