Why would they bother to dismantle the engine?
1) chances are they are not going to reassemble it anyway(like said earlier)
2) WHATS LEFT to reassemble? It looks like total junk...

Reminds me of when I was 17, I was racing my buddy in his 289 HiPo Mustang. I missed second gear and BOOM! I blew the clutch, and I mean BLEW! I peice came up through the floorboard and knocked my horn ring off. A couple hit the cross supports on the hood and dented all the way through it. Broke off the bottom two ears of the block where it bolted to the bell housing. The little one inch long springs in the pressure plate were stretched about twelve inches long. At least the engine I put together held up, of course that wasn't doing me any good since there were only three bolt holes left on the block. My father was not amused.

I saw that before too. The guy was a real dumb a*s along with a lot of other people with cars on the net. I like American Muscle a lot myself but a lot of imports can hold their own too. Most teens don't have a ton of cash to blow on the car so it ends up getting ricey. Neither do they have the money for insurance on a Z28 or have parents willing to pay it. I know of several imports that can easily walk a basic modified Z28. A lot of it is just about how much money you have into the car though. That and driver.

I looked up insurance on a 99 Trans-Am and a 99 Camaro Z28. The Z28 was only 4200$ every 6 mos, and the Trans-Am was 4600$. A bran new Civic EX is only 1350$ every 6 mos. As for the kids with parents who pay for it all, Why wont they get a real car... Us with parents who wont pay for any of it.... Right now Im looking a a 90-93 Miata...1200 turbo will make it run low low 14's insurance is less than 2k 6mos...Red convertible 2 seater, will be fast enough to where my dad wont make fun of me (will take his vette!!) Does anyone have any suggestions on a car that will be more fun?

Those Type-S are nice cars, I have a friend with one. That car is pretty stable until around 130, thats where we started to run out of room. Then the car is decently luxurious.

As for mistaking 2nd for 5th....

HyperBaja

You could always go Honda/Acura and do a swap...H22 swaps are like $2200 now for JDM that's with axles and tranny. http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30012
Miata with a turbo kit would rock though, the GReddy for $1200 is a nice kit. You learn more with it when you up the boost because you have to piece it together yourself (fueling all that). Or you could get an older Eclipse GSX.

Mav...check your pm's

And for the H22....To heavy in a civic or integra, would kill handling. Maybe a turbo'd B18C1 (or B18C5 integra R motor!!!) would be fun though!

Hey Tommy,

I sent you a PM back. Yeah the B18C1 is getting to be the "350 V8" of imports. That and the B16.

Thanks
