sleekcraft boats?

how is the quality on these boats? A buddy of mine is interested in one as a project its a 1989 28' bare hull setup (factory) for egg beaters. But it could be picked up cheapley. Were they halfway decent or something to stay away from?

They were very well thought of boats. I think they were the prerunners to Tiara/Pursuit.

I had a 24' Sleekcraft (87) day cruiser with a loaded Olds 455 and jacuzzi jet, and it was a great boat very well constructed. I used it on lakes large and small and made two trips to Catalina (only after asking Coast Gard about smooth water times.)

Oops, I misread, I thought it was Slickcraft. My bad.

I had a 95 26ft. It was built well however it was a rough ride on at the Ozarks. A friend of mine has a 28 late 80's and also complains about the ride in rough water.
