Upper Mississippi get together on the 4th
 

A bunch of us members are going to be getting together at Great River harbor near Alma WI for the 4th of July weekend. It would be fun to have some more board members and friends stop by. It's just going to be a low key laid back weekend. We're thinking about taking a back waters tour and maybe a run up Lake Pepin.

It would be fun to expose some new people to the this beautiful area. If your thinking of attending our Liquid Jungle Poker Run(see poker run section) but are unsure of the area. This would be a great opportunity for a no obligation tour. If anyone has any questions let me know.

not getting the boat wet this year due to finances and a late summer surgery so I have extra cash for other peoples boat

Thats a huge bummer. I'd rather give you money for a ride in your boat.:D You can ride with us if you don't mind riding in our little baja. Its a pretty rough ride though.

Guys, we are tenatively planning on being out in that area over the 4th. We should have final plans made in about a week.

We are thinking of staying at the Great River Harbor as well and will let you know.

I know you guys have all the backwaters figured out and we would love to tag along :)

We'll be there all weekend.

We go where ever the water takes us. We usually don't make and definate plans. We just get up in the morning and go with the flow.

There are overnight slips at Great River Harbor. There are a few cabins to stay in. (608) 248-2454

Guys, we were able to shuffle the plans and we will be there. Save us a spot around the camp fire :).

Will be there late Thursday evening and will leave sometime mid Sunday.

Wow. What a riot! I sure was great to get out and meet a whole bunch of our OSO brothers. We really had a great time and appreciated everybodys hospitality. Too bad the weather took a digger on Sunday. Oh well. Just be glad you guys didn't have to drive back east. Man that traffic was a killer. Stop & go all the way from the 90-94 split into Madison. Took us two hours to travel that distance. :rolleyes:

It was great to meet Cord and PreferredStock and hook up with hp500efi again!

You've done a great job rigging your boat.....hope the engine hatch portion of the project works out for you. Thanks for helping load up the fire pit with wood. It lasted well into the wee hours of the morning!:D

Thanks for the tips on getting a twin engine boat into the slip with throttles only. It was a hoot watching you stand facing the rear and back in without touching the wheel! No more coiled lines on the dock after you and Laura showed us the powerboater knot.

Hey guys its Chad, the newcomer here. We are camping at Black-hawk in De Soto next weekend. There is a large group of jet-boat guys getting together in Prairie du Chien that weekend plus its my birthday.
Anybody going to be out?

Were also thinking about making a run with the kids to the river museum they just opened in Dubuque, weather permitting.

It was great meetiing You guys also, we all had a blast. We will definitely have to do this again. Thank you all for the great time.

Thanks to the "Liquid Jungle" group for the good time. You made us feel very welcome and at home. We will be back. Thanks for the help getting out of the water. I was not sure I would be able to get the boat out without "power-on" But things worked great.
I hope Art doesn't yell too long.
We forgot to leave the Poker run form with you so I'll have to mail it.
4-1/2 hours up there on 7 cyl. 4 hours home on 8 cyl. Truck ran much better. No traffic to speak of on Monday.

Hp500efi Jeff, good to see you and the family again. hope to run into you guy's again this summer.
