I just am installing the Gaffrig digital unit. Did a temp wire and it worked right off, it can be wired to any existing GPS. I wonder if they aren't made by the same people, the back of the unit is stamped Infotronic or something to that effect. I didn't have a built in unit so I am just debating where to mount the antenna

I wss about to go for the Nordskog. then I see Gaffrig now offers one. 20 bucks more too. Now Im confused. I think I might just get the Nordskog because its been around for a while.

BRUCE THE GAFFRIG LIQUID FILLED GPS 0-100 IS THE WAY TO GO
IN P RACING BECAUSE YOU MONITOR THE SPEEDS AS IT GOS UP LIKE A SPEEDO.CALL DOLLER OFFSHORE MARINE THEY HAVE THEM IN STOCK LESS THAN $500.00 AND THEY LIIK AWESOME.

Bruce: The digital units (Nordskog/Gaffrig) are the same internally. If you have all Gaffrig instruments, then the Gaffrig unit will look better. The digital units will give you the precise speed, one digit behind the decimal point.

If you need the "analog effect," then the unit mentioned by Albert is the ticket.

Note that a separate (active) GPS antenna is recommended. You can get by with your current GPS, but if there is too much traffic on the NMEA output, then the speedos will time out and work erratically.
