Looks like the crush zones worked!!!

US1 Fountain 06-10-2003 08:53 PM

Betch it's going to cost more to fix the H2!

Sydwayz 06-10-2003 08:56 PM

Umm, that is a Dodge Dually; and it won hands down. You can see the H2 is bent all the way to the tail. The dually almost looks like you could lift off the cab and bed; and stick it on another frame. It all really depends on speeds and angles though.

I hope that's not his head print in the windshield Might cost some to fix his face.
It'll be easier to top off the radiator with the expansion tank in the middle of the widshield like that.

CigDaze 06-11-2003 07:12 AM

Wow. I'd hate to be in either, but would definately prefer the dually, hands down.

OUCH that is going to leave a mark.

Although the H2 is hammered anyone in the passenger seat of the Dodge is going to have serious leg injuries.
A friend of mine works at the Tech center in the crash labs and told me (since I have a Ram) if your going to hit something hit it dead on, if you corner hit you will probably lose your legs.
Nice to know huh?
If we as consumers knew all the dangers of our vehicles we most likely wouldn't even drive. :D

26s,
Remember your talking to a bunch of guys that would kill to go 160 mph in a cat on water so driving on the road might be tame even with the ackowledged risks!!!:D:D:D

Chances are the person in the H2 is critically injured or dead. It wouldn't be a bad idea to delete this thread.
Just out of respect.

I was merely relaying the information that was passed to me about the data that my friend has seen conserning the crash testing done on a Dodge Ram. Basically he said the Ram didn't fair well on an offset crash, but did better on a head on. I'm sure there are many variables such as what Troutly stated, engine configurations , 1/2 ton ,3/4 ton etc.:)

You're probably right. I just hate seeing that sh%t.

This happened in August 2002. The H2 hit six or seven cars before hitting the Dodge. Check out the link

Held up great

After reading the story, you have to hand it to the Hummer. That 's a lot of punishment to be put through and the people had minor injury's.
