Portable Propane Frig

I see that their are frig's that run on propane... small 1.2 cu. ft portable units. How long will they run on a single small canister on a summer day? I have a ac/dc norcold and it's really hard on the batteries in the boat during the summer... then I saw these propane units... any good words about them?

Then there is compressor and then there is adsorption... Can anyone help me here??? I don't know the difference between the two....

Propane and boats don't really mix, propane is heavier than air and the smallest leak will fill up the bilge just like water.

The little cannisters are especially bad as they often slow leak when un attached to appliance.

Try turning the thermostat up on the norcold when you head out for the day then back to colder when at the dock on shore power and make shure its full of real cold stuff before heading out. Stuff will stay cold then with less power.

ursus is right on the money.
There are people using it but I wouldnt put propane on my boat.
Propane is very safe under most conditions but it will have no way to excape if you ever did have a leak.

The norcold I have is a small unit with compressor and only an on/off switch, no dial....

What is the difference between a compressor and adsorption??

I can't believe the price on these little frig's!!!
