Wrong oil pressure sender?? Gaffrig gauge....
I broke the screw out of my original sender so I went to the marina and got a new one. Does not work. Checked oil pressure with a mechanical gauge. Pressure is fine. Does everything it's supposed to do. Sender shows 70 psi at idle and goes to 25 at anything above 1500 rpm and stays there. So, I tried a sender that Dyno had, gauge stays pegged at 100+ psi when engine is running. Obviously not the right one either. Do I need to get one from Gaffrig??? If so, how do I do this? Website???

Foul,
Not sure about correct sender or not, but you can give Ron Harris a call at Livorsi Marine/Gaffrig at 847-548-5900 ext. 223. He is one of their tech guys and does sales so he should be able to help you out. Tim |

Neither sender on their web site looks like the one I broke.
Here is my dash. Gauges are about 10 years old. |
Mike, I've been buying all my gaffrig stuff from Nisonger Marine in New York. They have way better prices than the Gaffrig catalog and have had everything I needed in stock.
