Mike, just let me know. I'm out pretty much every weekend. Running down to Homosassa this weekend. My friends brother just bought KC Crump restaraunt on the river and we're having a huge cookout there before he reopens.

That sounds like fun guys. I hope my boat is on schedule for delivery! I too would like to plan a day trip up to CR. Hopefully we can all get together for that run!

I remember once a few years ago, a friend of mine and I were staying at McCraes across the river from Crump. We drove around the river to go to dinner. They had a waiting line, so naturally we hit the bar to wait. By the time we could get a table, we were both skyrocket drunk!!! Liquid diet only. My buddy got on a pontoon boat with some chick, and left me there. You know you can throw a rock and hit McCrae's from there, but you have to drive around to get there by land. I liked to have never found the place. I thought I was going to have to call a cab and follow it there. When my buddy came in later, I saw his chick. She looked like Barney Rubble. You know, the kind of chick you'd rather jump over than have to walk around.

That sounds pretty typical of the Homosassa girls.

I think I would have just swam across. It's right there.

We have the big Raft Race coming up at Macraes pretty soon. That's usually a huge party weekend. I think all of the rooms on the river are already taken up for that.

Read this thread a while back, but monday, i saw my first concept CC at Typhoon in Jersey. Very sweet looking ride. good lines, very nice bolster setup. Looked nice in all white, with matching tubular radar arch and blue accented Gaffrigs. I believe it had twin merc 250s on it. Im not a CC guy yet, but boats like that make you think for sure.

After leaving a drool puddle, i slunk across the lot to check for a skeg for my 23 year old Silverton Go-Slo.....talk about a BuzzKill......

Good luck with them !!

If I lived on salt water, I would definitly opt for a center console with twin outboards.

However, on fresh water the "standard" setup is best.

Just my two-cents...

That's what I say. If a guy is happy with a 12 foot jon boat and a 2 horse kicker, more power too him. I pretty much love all boats and have had and still have different types.

Last year I sold my 311 Formula and bought a Baja 280 Sportfish. I'm very happy with the versitility and no more climbing into the bilges.
