As an interesting side note ... Cobra was demoing their 31 cat CC on the Potomic yesterday, pitching for the homeland defense department. The radio guy was making a live broadcast from the boat while doing runing 60 mph down the river.
Did they ever make their 35 cat in a CC, or just the 30?

actually
its the old 36 Cig hull, and now its a Marlin, dakota etc, very wide chubby and stable. It does 54 with 225,s and with triples( i'll post those pics later today) you see a little over 60. It runs in 6 footers all day long and gets out to the islands and back for fishing. several different sets of molds around. there are 31 CC's, (old scarab knock off) the spectre 28 was in Pompano at Strike FYI.
Jose(Concept) did the graphics on this one too but Im still a Joey Earl Fan.

Buck,
thanks for the info, but I was actually wondering who built the 24' traditional looking day boat pictured in rouxsterre's post. Anyone know?
BTW, seen the Marlins (built by my office) before. Nice layout, always wondered how they ran.
Another lesser known serious fishboat is the Whitewater, local built by hand. No frills, bellls or whistles, but if you are really fishing it they are bulletproof.. There is a 32 here with trip's that is reputed to be well in the 70's.. http://www.whitewaterboats-mia.com/
