The Blue Max
 

I rode in this boat the day before the races in Lake Ponchartrain- 1987??. It was a Turquoise blue catamaran about 32 ft long with Arneson drives, and was owned by Crystal Girschner (spelling?).

1- Does any body remember this boat?

2- What type hull was it?

3- Where is it now?

Oh yeah- I think that was the same year 'Systems' submarined in the lake. I wanted to cry looking at all that wonderful stuff that go bent up, and was glad to see nobody 'got it'. The trailer had a ramp down the center between the supports for the cat. There was a Black Turbo Porsche at the top of the ramp- I bought a Black Turbo a few years later possibly out of subliminal 'programming' that occurred that day....

The old Blue Max is sitting on a lift on the Salt River in Anchor Bay on Lake St.Clair in MI.

Thanks Lee. I think that the owner's father owned a marina in that area. I wonder if she still owns the boat? and do you know what type hull it is?

I realize this is an old post, but I was on here doing research on the old Blue Max catamaran. She is now in South Florida, I beleive she raced in Key West last year and was then sold. I recently looked at the boat. Any idea what would be considered a decent price?

What does it have in it for power now?

She is running 2x 700 hp ILMOR engines with 10 hrs (per current owner) on them. With Arneson 1600 drives. Nice tripple axle trailer. Raced in 2010 by Team Raven Offshore as the Mojo Boost boat

i know this is revisiting an old post but i have this boat for sale its in the classifieds,

it would be easier to find if you told us what boat it is, ie, manufacturer?
