Opinions on Arriva boats?

My buddy is thinking of buying one anything to look for?

I always thought that they were made by bayliner.....but i may be wrong.

Arriva

My first boat (14 years ago) was an Arriva. I enjoyed it, but took a pretty good hit on resale two years later. Most people searching for boats just aren't familiar with the name.

Yes they were built in Arlington Washington for Bayliner Marine Corporation. Same factory as all the rest.

Wierd piece of trivia for you all.....

The manufacturing facility is located on NE 188th Street.....

Same street address as Thunderboat row, just different state!

Good boat for the money.

I worked for a Bayliner dealer many moons ago... Those Arriva's were nicer than a standard Bottomliner, but they were still Bayliners...
They had a 20' with a 200 Merc OB, or Stern drive, and a 24' with a BBC. They were OK provided you were a lake or river boater.
We had a 24 out in the Chesapeake bay, on a rough day... I thought we were never gonna make it home....

I know it's a little late to reply to this post but I always thought the Arriva was a good boat for it's time. It was built better than the Bayliners but built by Bayliner. My friend used to have a 24 with a 454 and that was the heaviest boat I ever towed.

There use to be one that I saw alot being towed down the street or on the trailer around the LIDO area in Newport Beach, Ca. several years ago.

We have one at our marina that we service. Seems like it always needs something. It's a 24' w/454. Looks OK, but is a real slug on the water.

A buddy has a 24 and a 20 before that. There really done't seem to be anything wrong with them. But there isn't anthing real special either.
