Skater V=105mph+.......
Just got my Poker Runs America mag. They claim the new skater v bottom runs over 105mph with stock 525's.I think they meant on a trailer going down the south side of the W.VA. mountains. The boat is almost 40ft long and 9ft wide.I find it very hard to believe. What do you think?

Yep,3400lb hull and deck,7200lbs total.I look at every other builder trying for the 90mph mark. And they cant come close. Now skater comes along and slams it out of the park.I would believe if they said 95-96 mph,but over 105mph.Seems a little crazy to me,if they did it god bless them.

I'm sure there is no magic regarding that hull.
Peter probably uses superlite balsa, and his composite work is amongst the best in the industry. It's not to hard for him to produce a hull lighter(and stronger) than his competitors.

when they first raced the skater V, I remember it didn't run as well as expexted.I do understand that it prolly wasn't dialed in yet. If they got all the bugs out I'd agree with MT 95- maybe 100 with that power. Wonder how it rides? on a 3400lb. hull in big stuff.
