Not real sure. Lake Perry, KS has canceled the fireworks for the 4th. I was looking forward to finally getting to see them, truth be known, I have never sat in a boat, on the water and watched fireworks. Can you say LOOSER?

310, if I remember correctly your from IL or Wisconsin. If your up for a trip, the Air Show at the Cherry estival in Traverse City is a blast. Theres also the Chicago fireworks show on July 3rd at rant Park.

that is a good question, i'm still open? so give us some more ideas?? any Texas are Louisiana people doing anything??? thought about going to Clear Lake , they also have a great fireworks show

They have a great fireworks at hell's gate, also we are moving to the clear lake area when we get back. We will be living in Baytown right at the water. I will get back to you when we can meet at the turtle club:) :fish:

You'll see how much I miss 4' less boat when you hit some 5 foot cruiser wakes in it. It was a fun boat and will handle it though. just not as comfortably. See ya at the ShootOut.

Clear Lake for the fireworks and then a Power Squadron rendezvous at Houston Yacht Club. Hopefully, my boat will be out of the repair shop by then.

it is the site of the APBA offshore race and poker run. but is a hot spot on st patty's day as well.

I should have known, bet you guys will have a blast, we might hit the Destin run coming up, but will stay local for the 4th

Fri. & Sat 4-5 tunnel boats races on the Ohio river APR Superleague 100th race celabration 2 Classes Formula-2 & F-3,
between 15 & 25 boats per class usually 18 on the water at once for the finals on Sat. 16' F-3 top speed 100mph, 18' F-2 120mph.
Last year F-3 final 1 & 2 finished .49 sec apart. Admission is free.
Open pits bring the kids to see the boats. There is viewing from the water.

Exactly, Rick! They must be related. Ours is cool because it's on a barge tied to the shore of Clear Lake and the owner is particularly boater-friendly. (He even MCs the Calcutta for our club's poker run.) No cover on weekends if you come by boat.
