i really like he nav but to me its a dinosaur anyone have an 03?

LapseofReason 06-21-2003 07:30 AM

What do you want to do with it most of the time? How much are you going to tow ( mile's and weight)? Do you care about MPG?

SLINGSHOT 06-21-2003 07:40 AM

mostly everyday, business, towing my 25 outlaw would be the most and only 10 miles, i am still keeping my excursion, and i also have a dually for towing

macvtt 06-21-2003 07:49 AM

The Nav is great. Go and drive all suv's you are interested in and none will ride as smooth as the Nav. Sit in the third row seat in all and none will compare to the nav. Any questions on it I can answer....... feel free to ask.

Padraig 06-21-2003 08:18 AM

I really like my 2003 Subburban. I traded my 1996 Suburban (135,000 miles( on it and I like it even better then the old one. It is a 1/2 ton with the trailer package and it does a fine job of towing the Velocity 280. The trailer mode switch for the trannie seems to work really well. I have only checked the mileage once but on a 200 mile trip on Interstate 90 with a small amount of City driving, I got almost 18 mpg. Highway driving was with the cruise set at 72 mph. The only thing that I don't like is that the fuel tank now holds 31 gallons where my old one was 42 gallons.

LapseofReason 06-21-2003 08:50 AM

It sounds like you have the towing and people hauling already covered, go with the cool one now H2.

Take a look at the Toyota 4 Runner Sport with the new V8. We just picked one up and it handles like a sports car with rocket power to boot. A great buy at 32K fully loaded. Tow capacity is 6500 LBS, the same as an H2. Very well made, great fit and finish and very well laid out.

mike0311 06-22-2003 04:46 PM

The H2 is 6500. Go to the website and look under specs. You would think it could handle more, but it doesn't.

mike0311 06-22-2003 05:01 PM

The H1 seems to be around the 7800 area. The H2 says 6500. Good luck with the new Caddy!

BigMike 06-22-2003 07:00 PM

Mike, Now that you have the fat Caddy bouncin' on 22's I guess you are now an official Playa. Pimpin' hoes and rollin' on dubs. Now we just need to tear the rear seats out and add 12-18" subs and an air suspension kit. Dat would be da bomb cuzzy. Gots ta have the 3 wheel motion.

Toyota Sequoia.
I already made up my mind to buy one next year when my Excursion goes back. I don't tow with it, so the X is kind of overkill.

dirtlawyer 06-23-2003 08:49 AM

Keep rollin, rollin, rollin, rollin, rollin

can you say E S C A L A D E...

I'w with da brother Fever Mike - got my 03 Escy in March - put on some S W E E T OZ dubs and now I be rollin with the homies.....

Nothing wrong with the Denali, but if you are going to spend the $, might as well get the best - the Escalade is, in my opinion, without competition.....

Yo pimp daddy Fever Mike - what color did you get - I've got the smoke silver with the grey interior - sunroof, all options, etc.

dirtlawyer 06-23-2003 09:10 AM

still a playa

you're killin me.....

I know what you mean about the comments....

As you know, I keep my boat on the trailer at LBPM - I usually launch at Maximo Park - to get there I have to go thru da hood. I usually stop at the Citgo at 4th and about 21st south..... right in the middle of the war zone.... everytime I pull in with the Fountain in tow I always attract a crowd of pimps and ho's - two question are always asked - where did you get dem dubs; and how much dat boat cost?

tough decision - do I spend the $ and get me some gold Reggie gear to go with the Fountain or do I spend the $ and get me one of dem really nice gold dollar signs wit da diamonds to go with the Escy?

hey - speaking of pimp wanna be's - did you see Mike Flanigan's dubs on his new F250? pretty sweet........

lightningmike 06-23-2003 10:29 AM

Yes....I am rollin' on some new 20" dubs myself. I love the dubs like a fat kid loves cake! My new ultimate tow vehicle is the 03 Ford F-250 4 x 4 with the NEW 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel, 325hp and 560 ftlbs of torgue. It is bithin', this thing will smoke the tires at a light. It does great brake stands! This truck is on steroids....blows the doors off the old 7.3L, which I still have. I couldn't anti up the money for them 22's. because with 8 lug wheels, they are just outragously priced.

See ya in da hood...

jogiba 06-24-2003 09:18 PM

Powerstroke Diesel 4x4 Excursion.

rainmn 06-24-2003 09:30 PM

Slingshot already has one.

Madcow 06-24-2003 10:24 PM

I just don't get the H2. Whats the mesage your tring to send there? "Gee, I wish I where an 18 year old solder". Do you where camo while your driving it? Or do you just want a suburban with a little less room inside for $20,000 more?

all i gotta say is the H2 looks like lunchpail. All it needs is the handle on top.

the aval;ache albiet noteth pretiest thing aroudn looks better than the h2 and with the 496 its quick and drive pretty well.

mr_velocity 06-25-2003 08:56 AM

Don't see much when it comes to foreign "trucks" on oso, but for everyday driving Lexus LX 470 blows them all away. It'll only tow 5,000 lbs though. Opt for the Nav and the Levenson stereo.

R Addiction 06-25-2003 09:31 AM

Puder, Your typing and/or spelling crack me up!!!!:D :D

SHAKEN Not Stirred 06-25-2003 09:37 AM

Powerstroke all the way !!!!!!

????? Who said 4 Runner Sport ?????......Isn't that a Rav4 with lock washers......What about the Honda Element !!!!!! Sheeeesh!

BigMike 06-25-2003 08:28 PM

$83,700 for an H2??? That's F'in ridiculous. There are much nicer trucks around for alot less. I agree with Fever Mike, I think they sticker out at around $52,000. For $83,700 I would buy a Suburban and an Excursion!

Mike

thunderdan 06-25-2003 09:58 PM

Mike,

I have, well my wife has an 03 Nav and it is a great truck. It rides excellent, handles well and if extremely comfortable. I looked at all of the above mentioned trucks, and the nav was the right truck for me. If you want to check it out let me know and I will take it to work and you can check it out.

You guys are absolutely hilarious. And I'm inspired to go to the dentist and gets me a gold grille put on. Can't decide on a star or Mercedes emblem on the fronts.

We have an 03 suburban 1/2 ton and love it. About 18 MPG hwy. Don't go to the city enough to care about city MPG. We have the rear cargo doors, and keep 3 18 gal rubbermaid containers for groceries, etc.

I have a 4X4 dually for towing, so don't know about towing with the burb. I will say it has excellent power for it's engine size and believe it would tow a 5 or 6,000 lb boat safely.
