Sorry guys,
not to burst anybody's bubble, but none of these mufflers yet meet Wisconsin's strick noise law of 86 DB. Most of the after market mufflers will acheive 90 DB, but going below 90 DB is an entirely different ball game and if the company claims they will meet your states DB laws, ask them if they will pay for your ticket from the DNR after you are stopped once again for noise. Mercury has yet to validate any of these mufflers. Why??? Because very few boats can get below 89DB with the mufflers that are on the market as of now. And to add insult to injury, wait until 2006 when the new law goes into effect that any new boat made will have to have catalytic converters! HUH??????? The problems ahve just begun. Everyone PLEASE write into your state representative and Senators about these issues that have begun to go out of control. We need to all have a voice in this or nothing will get done. It has to be more than just a few of us that speak up. We all have mouths, don't we????
