Soft scrub w/bleach has worked on most of my jobs. If not I've used laquer thinner to clean extreme stains, BUT it will dry the vinyl out. I'd use it as a last resort, and if you do, apply some good condition a couple times after.

Has anyone used www.biokleen.com before? They claim I should
get good results using it. |
If all else fails try acetone. It is the active ingrediant in nail polish and it absolutely will get any stain out of white vinyl. Just be careful and put it on a little bit at a time. You can buy it at any hardware store or Lowes etc. Good luck!

Softscrub with bleach. Put it on and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Its cleaned nail polish and bead stains from my boat several times. I also use it to clean the non-skid on the deck.

STOP!!!! Use Minerial Spirits and NOT ACETONE... Acetone will eat away the finish on the vinyl and it will continue to get dirty and you will not be able to clean it. Keep trying with the spirits, but this in not going to be an easy job...
Call with any ?'s 513.706-3199 This came from one of the best interior makers in the country. |
Chris ..are you saying Mineral spirits will take out stains from the canvas dye?

I agree with Reindl - acetone will screw up the texture/surface of the vinyl. It won't ever look the same afterwards. You're better off with the stain. (Voice of experience)
